Dravograd

Dravograd is the geographical center of the Carinthia Region, located at the intersection of the Drava, Mislinja and Mežica Valleys and is one of the oldest documented markets in Slovenia. Numerous historical traces can be found in the municipality, including the Baroque Bukovje Manor, the Libeliče village with an ossuary, a plebiscite museum, a black kitchen and a farmhouse collection, gestapo prisons, and sacral buildings. A geological peculiarity found in this area is a rare mineral called dravite, while a natural rarity is the Ornithological Reserve Dravograd Lake.
